HKU SPACE & Hewlett-Packard Hong Kong Limited (HP) Strategic Alliance

On 23 September 2002, The School of Professional and Continuing Education of the University of Hong Kong (HKU SPACE), and Hewlett-Packard Hong Kong Limited (HP) announced the strategic alliance in offering certified professional training to corporations in Hong Kong and Mainland China. These courses are engineered by SPACE Online Universal Learning (SOUL), a total solution for e-learning developed by HKU SPACE, and based on leading HP courseware. Programmes built on the basis of these courses will lead to professional qualifications accredited by HKU SPACE, as well as certified by HP. The School is proud of having this new scheme in Hong Kong that a course is both certified by a premiere corporation and accredited by an academic institution. HKU SPACE has contributed to the economy of Hong Kong in human capital development by enhancing the knowledge and skills of our workforce. It has been a major provider of continuing and professional education for many sectors. The collaboration with HP sets a milestone of HKU SPACE e-learning in the corporate training direction. It also helps SOUL one step further in becoming a leading lifelong learning provider in of e-learning.
